I’m originally from the east coast of Canada, ten years ago I moved to LA where I have been ever since. James Patterson has been my all-time favourite male author since I can remember. He inspires my creepy characters which are always laced with a heavy love story. Are you an action, paranormal, or romance type of person? I’m a split right down to the middle of romance/action Tell us about your latest release. Escape, book 2 in my Blackstone series is my newest release. It’s a spin off book about a character from my Broken Trilogy. It tells the story about special ops soldier Keith and how he finds love…again. ;) Do you have any upcoming releases in what’s left of 2016? Honestly, I’m not sure yet. Only time will tell. My fingers are crossed that it will be ready in time. What can readers expect from you in 2017? My readers will finally see how dark and gritty my head can go in my new motorcycle series “Trigger.” I won’t lie this will be hard for some to read but if you can’t push boundaries what’s the point eh? Which of your books was your favourite to write and why? As far as romance hands down it would be Broken. That story came to me in a dream and it completely consumed every moment of my life until it was completed. It still plays a major part in my creativity. So much in fact that I will often write scenes just to make them “live” again. Cole and Savannah just had such a deep connection that it was seriously hard to end the trilogy…so I didn’t and wrote a spin-off series lol! If you were stranded on a desert island with one of your characters, who would you pick and why? I would take Mark because no matter how bad the situation he will make me laugh. Do you have book boyfriend? If yes, who? Cole …because he IS my book boyfriend! He’s hot, sexy, dark and likes control! Enough said. Have your family ever read any of your work? What do they think about it? Yes, my mother and sisters are my biggest supporters. Best line my mom has used on me was “Yeah, this scene isn’t dirty enough. Try again Hun.” Oh I laughed hard over that one. What’s the best reaction you’ve ever received over one of your books? Was when a fan told me that she wanted to get a quote from Broken tattooed on her arm. Mind blown. What was your favourite book as a child? Sweet Valley High Series. Who are your must-read/one-click authors? Sylvia Day, Jodi Ellen Malpas and Katy Evans Are any of your heroes based on real men in your life? Yes. My husband. Are any of the experiences in your books based on events that have happened to you/someone you know? Absolutely. My Darkness Series has so much of me in it, sometimes it scares me that I did it that way. What is your drink of choice while writing? Red wine but if I am writing a creepy scene than dirty martini with three olives. What is your favourite writing snack? Gummie worms Do you have any pets? Yes, a calico cat her name is Bailey and loves to lay on my keyboard when she wants something…which is ALL the time. Needy bugger. (Scoot the cat from Broken is based off my shameless kitty.) If you could have any superpower, what would it be? To fly, so I could always find a quiet place for me and my laptop. What is your favourite season? Fall trickling into winter. The colder the better. (I know I can hear you saying “why do you live in California than?” I know I ask myself that every day. Do you prefer night or day? Night. Are you a morning person? Oh yes I sure am! I drive my bestie nuts with my chipper-ness! Cowboys, fighters, mafia men, billionaires, or soldiers? Soldiers. What book are you reading now? Monsters in his eyes. Name 3 books everyone needs to read (excluding yours). Crossfire Series – Sylvia Day This Man – Jodi Ellen Malpas Real Series – Katy Evans For those who are new to your work, which book would you recommend starting with? Broken, Broken Trilogy.
