Keren lives in the UK and is an avid bookworm. She fondly remembers the days where she would lie in her bedroom away from distraction and get lost in the world of make believe. Her first real memory of reading something she fell in love with was The Hobbit. In her teenage years, she became addicted to Point Horror books like RL Stine's The Boyfriend, but she also enjoyed light Summer reads like What Katy Did and What Katy Did Next. Over the years she has come to realise that she is a bit of an OCD freak about books. They have to be in perfect condition without the slightest bit of damage. She has been a book reviewer for the last few years and a book hoarder for a LOT longer. You can NEVER have too many books! Her shelves are bulging and overflowing but she always wants "just one more book". Keren had her first book published by Limitless Publishing in November 2013. It's a YA Paranormal Romance novel called Stolen. Her second book was published with LP in May 2014. This time, an NA Contemporary Romance called Nothing Like The First Time. She couldn't have been more surprised when NLTFT appeared on the Amazon Best Seller list. That was a dream come true. Keren is currently working on more NA Contemporary Romances for you to fall in love with. Keren loves hearing from her readers. Genre: NA Contemporary Romance Author of: Nothing Like The First Time, Ready To Love Again, More. Website | Facebook | Twitter | Amazon Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m 33 years old and a single, disabled mom to one gorgeous 9 year old boy. He’s the light of my life. I started writing in my teens and always wanted to be a Point Horror author like RL Stine, that was my dream. I finally wrote my first (well first that I wanted published) novel, Stolen, in 2012 and it was published in 2013. Stolen is a YA Paranormal Romance and though I loved it as I wrote it, I have now learned that I don’t really belong in that genre. I have found my home in NA Contemporary Romance and I think that’s where I’ll stay. To date, I have 3 NACR novels published; Nothing Like The First Time and Ready To Love Again are my Sweet Romance Series and More is a stand-alone. Are you an action, paranormal, or romance type of person? I love to read absolutely everything except for biographies and autobiographies, but I love romance novels the most. Tell us about your latest release. More, which was released in July 2016, is my favourite novel to date. It’s about a couple who have the perfect marriage…until Drake leaves Anna without reason or rhyme. Do you have any upcoming releases in what’s left of 2016? No. My next is being written now and hoping for publication in 2017. What can readers expect from you in 2017? The WIP I am working on at the moment is called Loved. There might be another release next year too, which is currently title Safe. Which of your books was your favourite to write and why? More, without a doubt. As for why, well, that’s a long story. To sum it up in short, my fiancé left and I was reeling from the shock and the pain this caused. I found writing therapeutic and knew I needed to write through my pain. I didn’t get any closure from him, so I needed to find a way of discovering it on my own. Writing More was my closure. If you were stranded on a desert island with one of your characters, who would you pick and why? Chase Williams from Ready To Love Again. He’s charming, sexy, sweet, attentive. Who wouldn’t want to be stranded with a man like that?! Do you have book boyfriend? If yes, who? I have too many to name. My first was Dimka Belikov from Vampire Academy. Have your family ever read any of your work? What do they think about it? Yes, my auntie. She even edited Stolen for me. She always says the same thing for every new release… “What pages are the sex scenes on? I don’t want to read my niece’s sex scenes so I need to know where they are so I can skip them.” I don’t think she does skip them but I’m too afraid to ask! What’s the best reaction you’ve ever received over one of your books? Every time someone tells me they love it, it’s like being told for the first time all over again. I’ve had my BETAs and readers in tears (and very unattractive snot bubbles). This tells me I’m doing my job right because I want this kind of reaction. What was your favourite book as a child? I had so many. All Point Horror books, Point Romance too. Umm… The Hobbit, Black Beauty. What else? Anything by Enid Blyton. It’s hard to actually name them all. Who are your must-read/one-click authors? Oh so many. GL Chapple, SM Phillips, Mia Hoddell, Trudy Stiles, VL Brock, Rachel Caine, Ruth Warburton, Kelley Armstrong, Laurell K Hamilton, L Grubb, Kacey Hamford, CJ Fallowfield… Too many more to mention or I’d be here all day :-) What book has made you laugh the most? Recently, I read Until We Collide by Charlotte Fallowfield and it was so freaking funny. It’s like Bridget Jones but better. What book has made you cry the most? Torn by CJ Fallowfield is the one that most recently had me in floods. I cried multiple times and it was very unattractive snot bubble crying. Are any of your heroes based on real men in your life? Yes. Greyston Sterling (NLTFT) was a hybrid of a couple of my exes. Drake Anderson (More) was based on one particular ex. Are any of the experiences in your books based on events that have happened to you/someone you know? Yes. More was based in part on real life events that happened to me. I won’t say what’s real and what’s fiction, but that novel contains my heart. Do you have any funny quirks or stories you would like to tell us about? I am freakishly obsessed with the condition of my books. Like if I’m in a bookstore, I’ll pick a book up and check that it’s perfect before buying it. There can’t be any wear and tear marks, no damage to the spines, no folded pages. I don’t EVER dog-ear pages in my books and I hardly even open a book to read it—I only open it enough that I can make out the words in the margins. All my books look unread because they are pristine. What is the most romantic thing someone has ever done for you? This may not sound romantic, but to me, it was. My ex took me on when I was 10 weeks pregnant. We’d been friends before I found out I was pregnant and he was the first person I chose to confide in. When I split with my son’s father, I was 8 weeks gone. (Bleep) knew full well that I was pregnant and he wanted to be with me regardless. He brought my son up as his own until we split. We had 7 wonderful years together. To me, any man that can do that kind of thing, well…yeah, I can’t put it into words. What is the wildest thing you’ve done? I don’t think I have a very wild side to me. I’m possibly quite boring actually LOL. I have many things I’d like to do but haven’t done…yet. What is your drink of choice while writing? Coffee. I’d prefer it in an IV drip. What is your favourite writing snack? I don’t tend to eat while I write. I’m too busy to think about silly things like food :D Do you have any pets? No. I’d love a black pug though. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? My son and I had this conversation recently. Whilst he would chose something like x-ray vision, mine would be to become like Iron Man. I am obsessed with the character and RDJ. What is your favourite season? Summer. I don’t like Autumn and Winter because of the cold, the snow, the unrelenting rain. Do you prefer night or day? I’m a night owl! Are you a morning person? Definitely not! Cowboys, fighters, mafia men, billionaires, or soldiers? Cowboys. What book are you reading now? Twisted Mind by Mia Hoddell. Name 3 books everyone needs to read (excluding yours). The Other Man by D Breeze, Epic Fail series by Trudy Stiles and Torn by CJ Fallowfield. For those who are new to your work, which book would you recommend starting with? If you like second chance romances, Nothing Like The First Time. If you like emotional, tug your heartstrings stories, I suggest More.
