Callie Harper writes hot, fun, page-turning romances. She is powered by coffee, wickedly sexy bad boys, and all things funny, intentional or otherwise. Born on the East Coast where she learned the joys of fast-paced sarcastic banter, she and her family are now kickin’ it in the West Coast sunshine. On any given day there’s a good chance you’ll find Callie outdoors enjoying the gorgeous Bay Area, but if she’s indoors she’ll likely be reading, writing or eating, preferably all at once. She is the author of the Beg For It series and the All In series, both of which feature standalones with crossover characters. Genres: Contemporary Romance, Erotic Romance Author of: The Beg For It series, In Deep Website | Facebook | Twitter | Amazon Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m originally from the East Coast, but have now been living in Northern California for over a decade. I’m a funny mix of both idealistic dreamer and type-A planner. I love my kids and husband more than anything in the world. I adore spending time outdoors, but I’m a homebody too especially if I’m with my family, a book and some tea :-) Are you an action, paranormal, or romance type of person? I love a good action movie, and I can get into zombie books/TV/movies, but really romance is my favourite genre! Tell us about your latest release. My new release is Undeniable, the fifth and final standalone book in the Beg For It series. When Dom and Gigi first meet, he’s a rough and tumble bouncer and she’s a pampered heiress. Their chemistry is explosive, but circumstances force them apart. Four years pass without seeing each other, but the flame between them still burns. Dom’s the one she couldn’t have. Gigi’s the one he couldn’t forget. Then, suddenly, they’re thrown together as Dom protects her from a violent threat to her family. And once they’re all alone hiding out in a safe house, there’s no one to protect her from him. Undeniable is a sexy, fast-paced read with a whole lot of heat! If you were stranded on a desert island with one of your characters, who would you pick and why? Funny you should ask, that’s exactly what happens in Unbelievable, and I must say billionaire Colt handles it in style. He turns it into quite an adventure. For runner up, I’d have to choose Heath from Untamed. He’s a wild and burly mountain man who built his own cabin and is excellent with his hands. He’d be sure to keep me safe and warm… Do you have any upcoming releases in what’s left of 2016? Yes—a Christmas novella from the Beg For It series. I’ve written the last full-length standalone in the series, but couldn’t let the characters go! And I love Christmas, so I’m taking two of my favorite side characters, the drummer from The Blacklist in Undone (Book #2) and Caroline’s best friend from Unbelievable (Book #4). They’re thrown together through their connections to the huge Kavanaugh Family while planning a huge holiday party in New York City. It’s going to be fun, hot, festive and Kindle Unlimited! What can readers expect from you in 2017? The remaining three books in the All In series! I can’t wait to share Jax, Liam and Ian’s stories. What’s the best reaction you’ve ever received over one of your books? I’m thrilled when people tell me they loved the characters, romantic plot line and, of course, the down and dirty scenes! But I also love it when people tell me they were really moved or touched by my books. What was your favourite book as a child? It was a tie between the Anne of Green Gables series or the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Are any of the experiences in your books based on events that have happened to you/someone you know? There’s always a bit of truth to my stories—people I’ve known and experiences I’ve had, settings I’ve travelled to, etc. But then I take off from that starting point! What is your drink of choice while writing? Tea! Hot in the morning because the San Francisco Bay Area is FOGGY when the day starts out. Then iced tea if it gets hot. Do you have any pets? Three guinea pigs. They keep me company while I write. What is your favourite season? Winter, crazy right? But I grew up on the East Coast enjoying wonderful snow as a kid. Now as an adult I just love the rainy, chilly days of Northern California. It’s all misty and perfect for writing J Are you a morning person? Yes, I love a new morning. Coffee definitely helps, but those quiet morning hours before the family wakes up are some of my most productive. For those who are new to your work, which book would you recommend starting with? Undeniable (Dom & Gigi). It’s super hot and face-paced. Then you can go back and start at the beginning of the Beg For It series with Unleashed and make your way through each standalone. The characters appear and crossover, but each can be read on its own.
